Open Burning is not allowed in the unincorporated areas of Sandoval County at this time.

Sandoval County Fire Department responded to 5,560 calls for service for the year 2010.
Sandoval County Fire Station No. 43 will be dedicated to the memory of Clark "Sparkie" Speakman, on July 9, 2011 at 11:00 AM. The public is invited to this event.

Structure Fire in Seven Springs by the Fish Hatchery, September 9, 2008. La Cueva along with several other Fire Districts were able to keep the well involved structure fire from spreading into nearby trees which could have caused a catastrophic forest fire.
